Lead Connected Experience Designer

Responsible for defining, driving and championing the experience design vision for the MyDyson App, Beauty Category.

Empowering a team of 5 designers, helping to develop their skills as designers and professionals, while creating an inclusive and inspiring environment for the team to thrive.

Leading projects from initial ideation, planning, design through to handoff, working closely with cross functional teams and senior stakeholders.

Led the initiative of switching to a feature led model way of working now being used across the whole beauty team, allowing us to focus on innovating features that solve real problems, backed by insights to deliver faster and iteratively.

 
 
 

Senior UI Designer

Lead multiple projects, creating consistent, insight-led designs, while pushing boundaries and balancing user and business needs to solve real problems.

Spearhead the conceptualisation and creation of the digital design system and continuously evangelise it across the business, ensuring consistency in delivering better experiences.

Collaborate with senior stakeholders, heads of innovation and designers - instrumental in shaping the direction of the MyDyson app and Environmental care category.

Champion accessibility and inclusivity within the larger Design and Product Experience team as a member of the Diversity and Inclusion Task Force, Accessible by Design group and the Neurodiversity Awareness group.

Manage and mentor designers within the New Product Innovation team.

Help to lead the integration of Figma across the business, partnering with Figma to develop training for developers, project managers, researchers, and designers.

Collaborate with cross-functional partners to translate complex business requirements into user flows, annotated wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that lead to intuitive customer experiences.

Implement and advise upon “best practice” eCommerce user-centered design methodologies while confirming accessibility standards are being adhered to.

Gather, utilize and synthesize analytical data, customer feedback, and research findings to continually enhance the shopping experience.

Drive the initiative of creating, implementing, and maintaining an evolving design system to act as a single source of truth and enhance both consistency and proficiency.

Develop and execute engaging user experiences, focusing on user interface and visual design.

Partner with agile product teams to identify visual and experience issues and create on-brand design solutions to bridge user and business goals.

Design and build functional prototypes for use in usability testing.

Support visual design implementation, collaborating with internal and external resources.

Collaborate with design leads, interaction designers, site management, and development teams to ensure new user experiences are produced at standards that elevate the company’s brand identity.

Creative lead in a group intern project to research, design, and present a gift guide-focused virtual assistant to the company.

Participate in creative brainstorming and forward planning for brand development and idea generation.

Work closely with the Creative Web team to conceptualise and execute creative for Landsend.com tab pages and banners across all divisions.

Present to creative directors and cross-functional business partners to align creative direction on all channels.

Design and process all Blue Devil Productions creative materials including event posters, digital signage, freshman promos, banners, iconography, homecoming branding, large show event promotions, and other promotional avenues.

Create custom designs, illustrations, icons, and other graphic elements.
